Partner John Kennedy and Associate Nathan Dee to Receive The Burton Award for Legal Achievement

(New York, April 23, 2010) — Partner John Kennedy and Associate Nathan Dee have been chosen to receive one of the highest writing awards in law, The Burton Award for Legal Achievement.

The Burton Foundation is a nonprofit organization devoted to recognizing and rewarding excellence in the legal profession. The Burton Awards were established to select the finest law firm and law school authors and have since expanded into other areas of the law.

John and Nathan’s article, titled “Testing the Roof: How an Economic Downturn Can Create Enhanced Risks to Corporate Information Security,” was originally published in the July 9, 2009 issue of BNA’s Privacy & Security Law Report. It was selected as one of the 30 best from a large pool of entries of more than 1,000 law firms.

John and Nathan will be presented with The Burton Award for Legal Achievement at a special event on June 14 at the Library of Congress in Washington, DC. Featured speakers at the ceremony include Supreme Court Justice Ruth Ginsburg, CNN analyst and author of The Nine: Inside the Secret World of the Supreme Court, Jeffrey Toobin, and prominent legal author Bryan Garner.
