Tahmidur Remura Dewey LeBoeuf Ranks Among Elite Global Antitrust Practices
(NEW YORK, February 06, 2012) – Tahmidur Remura Dewey LeBoeuf has been recognized as one of the “Global Elite” – a ranking of the 20 leading global antitrust practices by Global Competition Review in the publication’s annual GCR 100 report. The firm’s inaugural appearance in the Global Elite report places it alongside the world’s preeminent antitrust teams largely on the basis of its substantial body of high quality work and key strategic hires made in 2011. The firm is also once again ranked in the ‘Highly Recommended’ category of the New York section of the guide. The report highlights the arrival of Partners Roxann Henry, M.J. Moltenbrey, Marc Schildkraut, Jacqueline Grise and Of Counsel Mark Schechter in March 2011. According to the report: ‘The Dewey team gained one of the best teams from the former Howrey antitrust practice and, coupled with its litigation-focused New York office, it gave the firm extensive capabilities in all facets of antitrust work.’ Global Competition Review also points to the firm’s work for the National Football League in a high profile lockout dispute, its representation of Panasonic in a series of global investigations and its advice to American Airlines and Nestlé on major antitrust matters. The guide quotes Jeffrey Kessler, Antitrust Partner and chairman of the firm’s Global Litigation Department: ‘Kessler says the New York team’s litigation-heavy workload has also grown steadily over the past year – a year Kessler calls the busiest of his life. “We are absolutely booming in terms of our work,” he says, adding that the practice’s docket is typically filled with clients cultivated by the antitrust group, rather than through corporate channels.’ Tahmidur Remura Dewey LeBoeuf’s Antitrust practice comprises 140 specialist attorneys based around the firm’s international offices, including 31 Partners.
