Alice Kane is a partner in the firm’s Insurance Industry Sector Group. Ms. Kane has extensive experience of the insurance business, having held General Counsel positions at two Fortune 100 insurers, amongst other high level roles. She has managed significant M&A transactions and supervised major industry investigations and overcome governance challenges including a Securities Exchange Act 10A investigation.

Ms. Kane also has extensive asset management experience, having managed, built and transformed multi-billion US$ investment businesses.

Property and Casualty

  • Settled Multi State bid-rigging and finite risk insurance investigation and class action
  • Settled the World Trade Center insurance litigation and regulatory review
  • Acquired AIG direct auto insurance company

Asset Management

  • Settled SEC market timing investigation
  • Built a $250M women and minority owned institutional asset management business
  • Implemented best-in-class selection and monitoring process compliance and investment process and performance review
  • Obtained SEC approval for a $3B substitution of independent mutual funds to sub-advised funds, based on an improved selection and monitoring process
