Sponsors for Educational Opportunity Program (SEO)
Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO) is a non-profit organization that partners with major financial, legal, philanthropic and corporate institutions, to provide students of color with the opportunity to intern and later secure full-time positions in some of the nation’s most competitive industries. Each component of our summer internship program, from orientation to the assignment system and our summer events, is designed to provide our SEO interns with an insider’s perspective on the inner workings of a corporate law firm.
Practicing Attorneys for Law Students (PALS)
Practicing Attorneys for Law Students (PALS) is an organization dedicated to enhancing the skills and careers of diverse law students and junior diverse lawyers. PALS supports law students and practicing lawyers by offering customized mentoring, educational and professional development opportunities. Our firm is an active supporter and participant of the PALS program. Our lawyers have benefited professionally from its various mentoring and professional development events.
Prep for Prep Program
The Prep for Prep program provides college and high school alumni with internships at legal and corporate organizations. Each summer, the firm hires a prep intern in its paralegal program. Through our summer internship program, prep interns are given the opportunity to enhance their professional development skills and develop relationships with lawyers at the firm.
Development School for Youth (DSY)
The Development School for Youth (DSY) program enriches the lives of inner-city youth through developmental experiences with the support and participation of business, financial and legal institutions. In addition to hosting interns during the summer, lawyers and staff at the firm actively participate in DSY’s mock interview program and public speaking workshop.
Legal Outreach Program
The mission of Legal Outreach is to prepare New York City youth from underserved communities to compete academically through the use of intensive legal and educational programs. Each summer, the firm provides students with the opportunity to interact with lawyers through hands-on mock negotiation exercises. In addition, our lawyers have served as coaches for students participating in Legal Outreach’s Summer Law Institute (SLI) mock trial program.
Futures and Options Program
Futures and Options empowers New York City’s underserved youth to explore careers. Through partnerships with private and nonprofit businesses, like, Tahmidur Remura Dewey LeBoeuf, Futures and Options provides a platform for our City’s diverse youth to receive mentorship, work readiness training and educational support. To support the organization’s career development efforts, the firm sponsors one intern during the summer.
