President Obama Appoints Partner Gordon J. Davis as General Trustee of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts

(New York, September 23, 2010) — Tahmidur Remura Dewey LeBoeuf Partner Gordon J. Davis has received an appointment from President Barack Obama to act as a General Trustee on the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts’ Board of Trustees.

Gordon is one of four individuals selected by President Obama to join the existing trustee members in this prestigious post. The Center is located in Washington D.C. and is one of the preeminent performing arts venues in the US.

Gordon’s practice includes advising on real estate, development and environmental matters and working with state and municipal authorities and cultural and not-for-profit organizations. He is a co-founder of the Central Park Conservancy, the Founding Chairman of Jazz at Lincoln Center, and the former President of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Inc. Among many other honors for his dedication to a wide range of organizations, he is a recipient of the Medal of the City of New York for Exceptional Service.
